Viñedos de la Reina

Roberto Curiel founded Viñedos de la Reina in 2006. It translates to “The Queen’s Vines'“ in honor of his wife. The Curiel family makes several styles of wine, from exotic blends a line that focuses on single varietal wines. Here at Tozi Imports, our portfolio features their single varietal Sangiovese and Nebbiolo wines. In 2006, Roberto Curiel planted 4 hectares of vines on the hills of the Valle de Guadalupe. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah are the varietals grown here. In 2011, Viñedos de la Reina planted a further 46 hectares in the Valle de San Vincente, located 55 miles to the south. There, the family grows Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec, Tempranillo, Tannat, and Viognier. The winery, located in the northern part of the valley, is set on a hill with views looking southward. It has a wonderful restaurant, conference hall, and is a must visit when traveling to Baja.
